Dicyclomine Hydrochloride and Simethicone Suspension, with the brand name “MEFZI-SPAS”, are used for the treatment of bloating, abdominal pain, gas, and cramps, primarily for Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), colic in infants, and functional bowel disorders. It is the best combination that is used to treat gastrointestinal discomfort in children and adults. This medication is a combination of two drugs: Dicyclomine+Simethicone. Dicyclomine is an antispasmodic that relaxes the intestine and muscles in the stomach. After stopping the muscle contractions, the person gets relief from cramps and pain. The second drug, Simethicone, plays an imperative role in the treatment of the gas. It is an antifoaming that disintegrates gas bubbles.
